HELP COMPUTER LOCKED AFTER "LOGGING OFF"
OK. i have windows xp home edition. my daughter was using my computer to look up stuff when finished she hit the log off button at the bottom. i never use this button before as i dont have mutiple accounts. just the admin account. Since then i have not been able to get into my computer. My password is just blank. no space no words nothing. just hit enter. Now its not letting me in. just keeps saying "system could not log you in make sure ur user name and domain are correct. then type your password again." is there anyone that can help please??1 person needs an answerI do too

Have you rebooted the computer? If you must, hold the power button in for longer than you think you should to turn the computer completely off and then turn it on again. If you have already rebooted, then log into the built-in Administrator account and do a System Restore to before your daughter did whatever it was she did. In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The default password is a blank. In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
